Top environmental certification for the Vanguard collection

The Eurofins Indoor Air Comfort – Gold certification is accepted as proof by programmes for sustainable buildings like BREEAM international and LEED (outside North America).

Europe’s respected Eurofins “Indoor Air Comfort – Gold” environmental certification has been awarded to the producers of The Vanguard Collection’s Dryback LVT as well High Density Core (HDC) rigid flooring.

Extremely popular in South Africa, The Vanguard Collection is an exclusive range of luxury carpeting and vinyl planks, offering stylish flooring for home and office, supplied by KBAC Flooring. The award of the coveted certification is now likely to inspire more local designers and property-owners seeking “green” indoor environments to focus on The Vanguard Collection in future. Vanguard was launched in South Africa in 2016 with just four LVT ranges but has since never stopped growing in diversity and popularity.

Eurofins is an international group of laboratories headquartered in Luxembourg that provides testing and support services for various types of industry, including the flooring sector. The Eurofins Indoor Air Comfort – Gold certification provides assurance that the tested product fulfils low product emissions requirements, and testifies that producers – such as the European manufacturers of The Vanguard Collection – are committed to quality and healthy indoor environments.

Eurofins’ product testing and certification are backed by a global organisation of more than 23 000 employees with about 30 years of collective experience. Eurofins Indoor Air Comfort – Gold combines the most relevant emission specifications and requirements in Europe in a single certification, and verifies regulatory VOC requirements and compliance with all relevant requirements in Europe. The certificate is directly accepted as proof by programmes for sustainable buildings like BREEAM international and LEED (outside North America).

The award of the certification follows annual testing and inspections of production sites at which manufacturers can show that their products have a stable and sustainable quality. More and more manufacturers are using the Eurofins label on products and marketing material and it is now widely recognised as a global “Best of Class Label”.
